SUP-LWGY Liquid Turbine Flow Meter
The SUP-LWGY is a turbine flow meter for clean, low-viscosity liquids such as water, cooling water, glycol, fuel and lubricating oil. The series covers DN4 to DN200 with 0.5%R or 1.0%R accuracy, and outputs pulse, 4–20 mA, RS485 Modbus RTU or HART depending on model. Because it does not depend on conductivity, it works on deionised water and oils.
What it does
A turbine meter's rotor spins at a speed proportional to liquid velocity, and a pickup counts the blades. It is compact and accurate, and it is one of the few technologies that measures non-conductive liquids in small pipes at moderate cost.
For data center coolant loops Supmea also offers the FLC420, a turbine meter built for CDU and rack manifold flow.

Frequently asked questions
Does a turbine flow meter work with deionised water?
Yes. It does not rely on conductivity, unlike a magnetic flow meter.
Do I need a strainer before a turbine meter?
Yes, recommended for any liquid that may carry particles, to protect the rotor bearings.
