SUP-ST500 Programmable Temperature Transmitter
The SUP-ST500 is a programmable temperature transmitter that accepts RTD (e.g. Pt100), thermocouple and linear-resistance inputs and converts them to a two-wire 4–20 mA signal for PLC, DCS or BMS inputs. Converting at the sensor head protects the reading from lead-resistance error and electrical noise over long cable runs.
What it does
A Pt100 sends a few ohms of change per degree. Over long cables, lead resistance and interference distort that signal. A head-mounted transmitter converts it to 4–20 mA at the point of measurement, where a current loop carries it reliably for hundreds of metres.
Pair the ST500 with a Supmea RTD or thermocouple sensor and thermowell sized for the line; the compact SUP-TBY100 suits space-limited points.

Frequently asked questions
Pt100 or thermocouple?
Pt100 RTDs are more accurate and stable from about −200 to 600 °C; thermocouples cover higher temperatures and respond faster.
Do I need a thermowell?
Yes for pressurised or flowing process lines, so the sensor can be removed without draining the system.
